Lehrstuhl für Rechnertechnik und Rechnerorganisation, TU München

The task of Lehrstuhl Rechnertechnik und Rechnerorganisation / Parallelrechnerarchitektur (LRR) of Technische Universität München is two-fold:

First, LRR will analyse the applications provided by both the Universität zu Köln and Fraunhofer SCAI.The application analysis will serve as an input for the team at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) to simulate new scheduling algorithms and guide both partners Universität zu Köln and Fraunhofer SCAI to utilize their applications more efficiently.

The second task of LRR together with RWTH Aachen and JGU Mainz is to jointly develop an agent that is capable of monitoring processes and provide measurements to the SLURM scheduler that will be used in upcoming schedulings. The agent system will be incorporated with autopin+, a tool previously developed at LRR that optimises thread to core pinning to increase overall application performance. autopin+will be improved as part of this project to include energy measurements.
